1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the forkd mobile application (the "App"), operated by forkd ("forkd," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
forkd is a restaurant discovery app that helps users find and evaluate restaurants using a three-dimensional Taste / Ambience / Value rating system, combined with a "Local Lens" feature that surfaces how local users (based on self-reported zip code) rate a restaurant compared to the broader review base. forkd is currently in closed beta, and features, availability, and functionality may change.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a forkd account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all registration information you provide is accurate.
4. Account Registration & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@getforkd.io if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. You agree to provide accurate information (including your zip code, which is used for Local Lens scoring) and to keep it up to date.
5. User Content & License
You retain ownership of the reviews, ratings, notes, lists, photos, and any other content you submit to the App ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant forkd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content within the App and in connection with operating and promoting the App (for example, featuring a review in a "Local Favorites" list) — for as long as your content remains on the platform, and consistent with the visibility settings (Public, Private, Shared) you select.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the right to submit it and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.
6. Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use
To keep forkd trustworthy, you agree not to:
- Post fake, paid, incentivized, or manipulated reviews, or otherwise misrepresent your genuine experience at a restaurant
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your zip code or location to falsely qualify as a "local" reviewer
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes another party's intellectual property
- Attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its underlying systems
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or collect data from the App without our written permission
We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, at our discretion.
7. Review Integrity
forkd's core promise to users is that reviews are genuine and unbought: we do not accept payment to alter, suppress, remove, or reorder honest reviews, and we do not sell placement above organic results. Restaurants and other third parties may not compensate forkd or any user to manipulate ratings or Local Lens scores.
8. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services (for example, mapping and places data, authentication, and infrastructure providers) to function. forkd is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services, and your use of any third-party service accessed through the App may be subject to that provider's own terms.
9. Beta Features
forkd is currently offered as a closed beta. Beta features may be incomplete, may not function as intended, may change without notice, and may be discontinued at any time. We may collect feedback and diagnostic information from beta users to improve the App.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless forkd and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, unless applicable law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the App will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
